Atlantic Cottage.

Self catering holiday cottage on the
DINGLE PENINSULA.

Atlantic Cottage is situated up on the hill above Smerwick Bay, looking out over the three sisters and sleeping giant. On a rough day you can watch the waves breaking over Clogher head from the wamth and comfort of the dining table. On clear evenings the sunsets can be truly spectacular, and when the sun has gone down, the moon rises over the mountains outside the sitting room window.
It's a tranquil spot as Mhaoilcheadair and his monks realised when they chose it for their monastery fifteen hundred years ago.

Built 25 years ago, on part of the ancient monastic site at Kilmalkedar, the house has 4 bedrooms, a large kitchen/diner, a sitting room with TV, video, books and games, a bathroom with bath and overhead electric shower. The kitchen has a microwave, washing machine, fridge etc. All linen and towels are provided.

Outside there is a large safe garden and a field which can be used for flying kites, etc, when not being used by our neighbours donkeys.
If the donkeys are there they love bread and carrots.

The house is a five minute drive from Dingle Town. There is a nearby shop which stocks most things. The beach is a fifteen minute walk. The perfect way to to enjoy a swim is on a hot summers day as the tide is coming in. Bask in a hot bath of sea water as the sand gives up its warmth to the sea.

We welcome well-behaved pets but would remind you that our neighbours depend on sheep farming for their living, so dogs need to be kept under close control in the fields around the house.
